Baby Born in India?

If your baby is born in India, you must register the birth with the local municipal authority and notify your country’s embassy to obtain a passport. Inform the concerned FRRO/FRO via email, secure a passport or emergency travel document within 90 days of the birth, and apply for a new visa within 14 days of receiving the passport (all processes must be completed within 90 days of the baby’s birth in India).

Lost or Damaged Passport/Travel Documents/Visa in India?

Report the loss to the nearest police station and obtain a copy of the report or FIR. Contact your country’s embassy to apply for a new travel document. Apply for "Change of Passport" and "Exit Permit" services with your nearest FRRO/FRO at the earliest to avoid complications.

Death of a Foreigner in India?

Notify the nearest FRRO/FRO immediately. Contact the local police and your country’s embassy for further assistance. If the last rites need to be performed in India, obtain an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the local police station. If the family decides to repatriate the mortal remains, apply for a "Death No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from the FRRO/FRO.
